The Experience
Hi, I’m Mike, and I love to explore and share Table Mountain with others from around the world who have a similar love of the outdoors, or just looking to dip their feet or even have their first mountain experience.There are a number of different routes we can do and together we can choose a route that matches your ambitions, abilities and sense of adventure.
Whatever your desires—adventure, scenic views, flora, or historic landmarks—together we can create an experience tailored for you. As a taster we can tackle the classic and imposing; India Venster, a crowd favourite offering breathtaking views and a real sense of accomplishment and adventure.
If you're a nature lover, I highly recommend hiking through the indigenous forests to a stunning mountain beach via the Skeleton Gorge trail. Kasteelspoort (Castle Gate) and Diagonal routes offer amazing Atlantic ocean views, unusual rock formations and an immersive mountain atmosphere in the middle of the city!
There is also the option for ending the hike at the Cable station for a speedy descent on the cableway.
Local snacks and drinks (tea and coffee) can also be arranged.

Hi, I'm Mike. I enjoy reading, writing and exploring the wildernesses of Africa while connecting with folks from all over the world. Having lived in many countries, I feel deeply attached to the unique heritage we have and take great joy in sharing it with others. Over the years, I've enjoyed exploring Table Mountain, completed adventure guide training and hold a wilderness medicine certificate (Level III first aid included). Your safety and enjoyment are my top priorities.

This was probably the most incredible hike of my life. After discussing several options, we chose the India Venster trail. It is *intense* but so rewarding. It is not a just a “hike” as we would understand it in North America. It’s a mix of rock scrambling, climbing, and finally hiking.
